Bahçeşehir University (BAU) has been honored for its achievements in service exports at the Turquality Support Program, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. BAU Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu received the award from the Minister of Trade, Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat, and former Minister of State, Kürşad Tüzmen. "We are the first university to join the Turquality program. We are proud to receive this award as the program marks its 20th year," Hatipoğlu stated.
The Turquality Vision Meeting and Branding Conference was held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the program, which was launched to carry Turkish brands to the global stage and increase international competitiveness. During the event held at the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM), Minister of Trade Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat and the founder of the Turquality program, former Minister of State for Foreign Trade and Customs Kürşad Tüzmen, delivered speeches. Awards were presented to companies within the program that demonstrated exceptional export success. Among 544 brands, Bahçeşehir University was named the "Turquality Champion for Highest Service Exports to OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) Member Countries."
Accepting the award on behalf of BAU for its success in educational exports to the 57 member countries of the OIC, Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu pointed out that the university had also received an award just one week prior. BAU was recognized in the "Educational Exports" category at the “Turkey’s Top 500 Exporters Awards” organized by the Service Exporters' Association (HIB).
Hatipoğlu shared the following remarks:
"We take great pride in receiving this award during the 20th anniversary of the Turquality Support Program. As the first university to join Turquality, we have successfully continued in the program for eight years, and I believe we will maintain this same excitement and determination moving forward. This is our second award within a week in the fields of service and educational exports; I am proud of our success. I congratulate my entire team for their hard work and dedication throughout this process."
